For more than thirty years I’ve offered the rare and unusual in classical vocal and instrumental recordings, primarily from the 78 rpm era (pre-1950). Each year I compile more than two thousand records in an auction catalogue, which provides biographic information about the various artists. There are also period illustrations in the auction list as well.
The 2008-09 auction is now live, and runs through January 4, 2009. A reminder that bids must be received ON OR BEFORE that date. For more details on bidding, please see the bidding information section.
Music Samples
This is a new feature of the 2008-09 auction. On selected items you can hear sound samples of the actual disk being sold. Click here to go to the music samples page. Please note, however, that I cannot provide music samples of other disks. If this feature proves popular I may add more music samples in future auctions.
